About The Project
Marie Callender's knows that home is more than a place. It's big hugs and joyful laughter. It's warm memories and comforting homemade favorites on the dinner table. Marie Callender's also knows that life can often take our loved ones far from home and away from all of the comforts and happiness it brings. The Comforts From Home Project is dedicated to bringing the heartwarming feelings, flavors, and favorites of home to those who miss it most.
Last year, with your support, we brought care packages to troops overseas through a $250,000 donation. This year, Marie Callender's Comforts From Home Project will partner with USO Operation Celebration that brings celebrations large and small to our troops stationed here and abroad, from Valentine's Day dances to Thanksgiving dinners.
So every time you enter a code from a specially marked package of Marie Callender's meals or desserts, Marie Callender's will make a donation to USO Operation Celebration™, a program that ensures that our troops have a chance to celebrate every holiday.
UPDATE: The Marie Callender's Comforts From Home Project recently crashed the USO El Paso center for a makeover. It had been several years since the center was last updated, and the furniture and paint were beginning to show wear and tear. About 4,500 troops visit the center each month, "and there was never enough room for everyone," said one USO volunteer. The team updated the furniture, increased the seating, and freshened the paint to give the center a warm, welcoming feel for all of the troops who come to relax. USO El Paso Center Operations and Programs Manager Robert Medrano said, "It's going to help the service members feel more comfortable."

Helping Create a Home Away From Home
Each year, at hundreds of locations across the globe, the USO lifts the spirits of America's troops stationed away from home. As a nonprofit, the USO relies on the generosity of individuals, organizations, and corporations to support its activities.
USO Operation Celebration makes sure our troops can celebrate holidays large and small, from Thanksgiving feasts to July 4th barbecues, with the comforts of home that we often take for granted—seasonal meals, company, entertainment, and a welcome break from the stress of active service. The USO holds hundreds of celebrations each year, impacting tens of thousands of troops and their families.
